Provitamin B5

Panthenol, provitamin B5, comes from fibre-rich grain species. Provitamin B5 will, in contact with the skin, be converted to vitamin B5, which is necessary for the skin to function optimally. This vitamin heals, regenerates, moisturises and protects the skin. Provitamin B5 stabilizes the skin barrier, which reduces the amount of water that is lost through the skin and thus helps to improve skin softness and elasticity.

Provitamin B5 provides relief from itching and reduces redness. Wounds treated with provitamin B5 have been shown to have regenerated tissue that is more firm and elastic. Provitamin B5 also acts as a barrier and shields the skin from irritation.

Provitamin B5 has excellent anti-ageing properties because it soothes, softens and moisturises the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Its exfoliating properties fight free radicals and promotes new skin cells.

The key with this Provitamin is that it keeps the moisture under the surface of the skin, this moisture will appear to plump the area to which it's applied, making fine lines less visible.
